Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Well-being and Multi-objective Optimization at the Faculty of Information Technology and the JYU.Well Well-being Research Community, University of Jyväskylä, Finland, as well as a Visiting Researcher at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal, and the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), Leiden University, The Netherlands. I earned my Ph.D. (Engineering) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Kalyani, India, on April 23, 2018. Part of my Ph.D. research was conducted at the University of Łódź, Poland, as an "Erasmus+ Exchange Ph.D. Student". I obtained a Habilitation in the field of Computer Science for Assistant Professorship (Docent) from the University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia, in 2023. After obtaining my Ph.D., I worked for over five years as a Postdoctoral Researcher in EU countries, including the Czech Republic, France, Finland, Portugal, and the Netherlands, and for over three years as an Assistant Professor in Slovenia and India. My research focuses on Facility location, Hub location-allocation, Transportation systems, Home healthcare routing and scheduling, Soft computing, Evolutionary computation, Heuristic and metaheuristic algorithm design, Optimization, Operations research, and Theoretical computer science.
